Product Performance
1. The properties of gray cast iron are as follows:
(1) Gray cast iron also has very good casting performance and cutting performance, and because of the existence of graphite, it can also play the role of shock absorption and wear reduction.
(2) The performance of Grey iron castings mainly depends on the performance of the matrix and the quantity, size, distribution and shape of graphite. The gray cast iron composed of fine flake graphite and fine-grained pearlite matrix has the best performance and the widest range of applications.
(3) The tensile strength and plasticity of gray cast iron are also higher than those of general or the same matrix steel, and the graphite flakes have little effect on the compressive strength of gray cast iron, so gray cast iron is often widely used to withstand compressive loads. parts, such as bearing housings and machine bases, etc.
2. Metamorphic treatment is inoculation treatment---inoculation of cast iron
(1) Inoculated cast iron can also change the performance of castings, the strength of inoculated cast iron is also greatly improved, and its toughness and plasticity will also be improved.
(2) The metamorphic treatment is mainly to add a metamorphic agent to the molten iron before the molten iron is poured to promote grain refinement. Generally, the most commonly used modifier is ferrosilicon with a silicon content of 75%, and the addition amount is generally about 0.4% of the weight of the molten iron.

Process Flow
